Basia Sports Foundation was created by owners/publishers of Basia Sports Magazine and Basia Magazine, former West Indies cricketer Ricardo Powell and his wife Alicia John-Powell to recognise and celebrate Caribbean Sportsmen and Sportswomen. The Foundation seeks to encourage excellence among Caribbean sporting personalities and the development of sports in the region.
The foundation seeks to work with sporting bodies in the Caribbean to ensure that each country contributes to the development of the foundation and its ability to have a continued presence in recognising Caribbean Sports people and the development of Caribbean Sports. Jagdeosingh and Daniel were part of the Puerto Rico Islanders side that knocked the United States Major League Soccer outfit Los Angeles Galaxy out of the CONCACAF Champions League last week. |
